Breast Cancer Awareness Month Giveaway! Pink Prize from Opensky.com!

Chicks and dudes,

My grams is a breast cancer survivor and that is just one of the reasons I’m happy to announce that this week, I’ll be hosting a giveaway to one of y’all to support breast cancer awareness.

Opensky was kind enough to donate a BRIGHT PINK Zon resistance band and step!

If the fact that the set is pink doesn’t motivate you enough, ZoN fitness will make a donation to Bright Pink, a non-profit organization that educates and supports young women who are at high risk for breast and ovarian cancer. According to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, when evidence is looked at as a whole, regular exercise appears to lower breast cancer risk by about 20 percent!

I know you already think I’m a dork so I’ll just go ahead and admit that I love resistance bands, they keep me toned and keep my shoulders from falling out of their sockets. Since I’m a huge proponent of using exercise to promote a healty body image, I’m really happy to raise some awareness for this cause with an fitness related tool through a great website.

Also, if you haven’t heard of Opensky, get your act together.

I learned about the site and fell in love. Unlike some of the other shopping and deal sites, you can personalize your feed to see only the types of things you are interested in. It’s an idealized online shopping experience and I was pretty psyched when I found it.

So what do you have to do win?

  1. Check out Opensky.com.
  2. Leave me a comment letting me know your favorite curator or item by 11:59 PST Thursday.
  3. I’ll pick a random winner and announce who it is this Friday
  4. Get your free stuff! Save boobs everywhere.

Seriously, what are you waiting for? Help me save the ta-tas and get some free stuff while you’re at it.

About

This is a blog written and curated by Jessica Brookman.

I am an LA-based web strategist for tech and media startups. Contact.

I write the <3 review: Sometimes lovely (sometimes cranky) reviews and advice in 3 lines or less. Other writing -- on marketing, branding, social media, emergent technology-- in a slightly-longer format called Digital Positioning. Plus, occasional non-sequitors and/or dicta not-otherwise-categorizeable.

This is The Intentional Blog. Welcome.

It's pretty sad that these web series like Squaresville and The Lizzie Bennet Diaries are more entertaining than shows actually on TV. Why aren't...
